PVDF : PVDF (polyvinylidenefluoride) is a tough engineering thermoplastic that offers a unique balance of performance properties. It is chemically resistant to most acids, halogens, hydrocarbons, alcohols, salts and oxidants. SustaPVDF is thermally stable and inherently UV and gamma radiation resistant. This product is used extensivelsy as parts and components in a wide range of industries such as semiconductor, chemical processing, pulp and paper and nuclear waste processing.

The main application of PVDF is for valves, fittings, seals & gaskets, various components of pumps, in chemical handling systems, semiconductor processing components etc.

Main characteristics of PVDF include:
  • High Purity
  • Resistant to most chemicals and solvent
  • High strength and stiffness
  • Intrinsic flame retardance
  • Continuous use temperature of 290°F
  • Non-flammable
  • Excellent impact strength at cold temperatures
  • High thermal stability
