PTFE
PTFE material (polytetrafluoroethylene commonly referred to as Teflon) is a highly dense material, semi crystalline in nature, renowned for its outstanding chemical resistance, ability to withstand low and high temperatures ranging from -200°C to +260°C (and up to 300°C for short periods of service), resistance to weathering, low friction characteristics, excellent electrical and thermal insulation, and non-stick surface.
PTFE is available in both natural form and filled grades, including glass-filled, bronze-filled, graphite-filled, and carbon-filled grades, offering enhanced properties for specific applications.
Typical product applications for PTFE include bearings, bushings, rollers, solid gaskets, 'O' rings, bellows, seals, plugs, washers, tank liners, feed heads, and flanges.
At Classic Polymers, we specialise in manufacturing PTFE in various forms to cater to your specific needs. Our range includes rods, tubes, sheets, cords, tapes, gaskets, 'O' rings, washers, as well as custom-made components tailored to your requirements.
